Childspree
Davis Salvation Army

For over 12 years, Lindsay Smith has volunteered for the Davis Salvation Army Childspree Program. The program, which is coordinated and implemented by Lindsay’s mom, Toni Smith, provides nearly 100 Davis schoolchildren with a shopping spree for back-to-school clothes
and supplies each year.

The Davis Childspree committee works throughout the year with local agencies and school staff to identify kids in need and coordinate with community volunteers and vendor partners. In addition to local community and business giving, the program receives most of its funding support from the Davis Salvation Army’s bell ringing campaigns during the holiday season.

Lindsay’s favorite thing about volunteering for Childspree is seeing the smiles on the kids’ faces when as they leave the store with back-to-school clothes.
