What is the significance of West Yost’s participation in Jazz On Tap?

How did the event benefit West Yost in terms of brand recognition?

How does the event support a larger cause, and what is West Yost’s role in it?

At West Yost, we value the opportunity to engage with our clients, not just on project sites but also on a personal level in fun and relaxed environments. We are committed to the communities and people we are fortunate enough to serve, and events like Jazz On Tap perfectly embody this commitment.

Hosted by the California-Nevada American Water Works Association’s (AWWA) Water For People San Diego Committee, Jazz On Tap is a vibrant jazz event showcasing local artists in an outdoor and virtual format. This high-energy event provided a unique and enjoyable atmosphere where we could connect with our clients and the broader community.

Making Connections and Building Relationships

Attending Jazz On Tap was an enriching experience, where our physical presence led to numerous great connections. Although I attended the event alone, I never felt alone for a moment. I found myself continuously floating from person to person, enjoying drinks, and soaking in the wonderful jazz music. The talented jazz band and beautiful weather created a palpable energy, with great vibes and a lot of curiosity about our brand.

Our sponsorship and presence at the event excited our current clients. A valued client was particularly thrilled with our participation. They shared high praises regarding the work we do for their district, highlighting the positive impact of our efforts.

Even those who were not our clients recognized the brand from our sponsorship. This recognition led to engaging conversations, allowing us to share not only the amazing things we do but also the amazing people behind our work. Sporting West Yost gear made it easy for attendees to identify and connect with me, reinforcing our presence and commitment.

Strengthening Brand Recognition and Building Skills

Jazz On Tap was a learning and skill-building opportunity in many ways. By attending and engaging meaningfully, we were able to strengthen our brand recognition in the Southern California region, showcasing the West Yost culture and our dedication to our work. These valuable in-person connections and conversations created opportunities with potential future recruits and those not yet our clients.

Moreover, this event provided a platform for engaging with current West Yost staff in a non-office environment, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.

Supporting a Worthy Cause

Proceeds from Jazz On Tap benefit Water for People, a non-profit dedicated to changing lives by making clean water and sanitation available to everyone, forever. We are proud to support such a worthy cause and contribute to their mission.

Representing West Yost and our brand at Jazz On Tap was a proud moment for me. I look forward to participating in more events like this in the future, where we can continue to engage with our community and clients in meaningful and enjoyable ways.

By embracing events like Jazz On Tap, we celebrate our commitment to community engagement and highlight the importance of building personal connections in a fun and relaxed setting. At West Yost, we believe in the power of coming together, sharing our stories, and creating lasting impacts both within our industry and beyond.
