Award: Davis East Area Tank for City of Davis

The American Public Works Association (APWA), Sacramento Chapter awarded West Yost a Project of the Year award for the design of the City of Davis’ East Area Tank Project.

West Yost designed the new 4-MG potable water storage tank and booster pump station for the City of Davis. The project is located in east Davis at the northeast corner of Mace Boulevard and Interstate 80. West Yost worked closely with the City to resolve a number of unique project issues including facility aesthetics, strategies for competitive bidding between tank builders, and proximity of the facilities to existing high pressure gas lines and power utilities.

The Project has met or surpassed all of the City’s goals for safety, functionality, durability, economy, and aesthetics.
