Asset Management Program Audit Services

Service Provided for Confidential Clients

If your asset management program is just starting out or you are struggling with defining it for your utility, we can help you. West Yost recently completed an evaluation of the asset management program for a water utility located on the West Coast giving its management a health report card and several recommendations for even greater performance. Working collaboratively with the utility we evaluated their existing processes, tools and standards and assessed their level of implementation evaluating key asset management elements.

The audit evaluated the utility’s asset management program using criteria focused on the asset registry, risk, staffing, operations and maintenance (O&M), supply chain, replacement planning, and IT support. West Yost prepared a questionnaire focused on the utility’s asset management programs and practices and conducted interviews with O&M staff to fully understand the current use of those programs and practices. The assessment was based on a performance continuum of initial to optimized, and both near- and mid-term recommendations were developed.

The process was simple. The result? A report card continuum from Initial to Optimized and recommendations to improve or simply maintain the program.

How is your asset management program performing? Are you setting and meeting your performance goals? Do you have performance goals? Let West Yost help you identify improvements to your program. If your asset management program is just starting out or you are struggling with defining it for your utility, we can help you.

West Yost has supported many utilities to enhance their asset management program from program definition to CMMS selection and optimization.
