Water Storage Tank Alternatives and Design Considerations

Training provides an overview of tank material alternatives, including welded steel, prestressed concrete, regular reinforced concrete, and bolted steel water storage tanks.

The training will also include an overview of design considerations including: AWWA and UBC codes; water quality; corrosion /coatings; access; security; drainage/overflow; ventilation; safety; and instrumentation. We will review the specific issues and construction methods for each tank type and provide a summary of options is to improve tank longevity.
